Youth & Families with Promise 4-H Mentoring

Utah's Youth and Families with Promise (YFP) 4-H mentoring program is designed to address problematic development through early intervention with youth at risk, ages 10 - 14 years, and their families.  YFP is a multi-generational mentoring program primarily designed to reduce and prevent delinquent behavior. Through participation in this program, youth are expected to have better academic success, develop stronger social skills, and to strengthen family bonds.  Previous research has shown that youth who maintain these goals during childhood are more likely to become contributing adults in their communities2.
